조지 카비에세스 발데스는 칠레의 대학교에서 시각예술 학사 및 석사과정을 이수하고 런던 골드스미스 대학(교)에서 석사학위를 받았으며 칠레와 그리스를 오가며 활동하고 있다. 최근 《The Miniature》(Kaapelin Galleria, HIAP, 핀란드, 2012),《Violencia Pasiva》(Galeria D21, 칠레, 2012) 등의 개인전을 가졌고, 다수의 그룹전에 참여하였으며 2011년에는 핀란드 헬싱키에 있는 HIAP(Helsinki International Art Program) 레지던시 프로그램에 참여하였다.
조지 카비에세스 발데스의 작업은 산업디자인, 중산층, 로코코 미학과 잔인함 등과 같은 개념에 관심을 두고 일상생활과 우리 주변 안에 내재되어 있는 묵시적 폭력성에 대해 이야기 한다. 2009년부터 2012년에 작업한 <미니어쳐 시리즈>는 하나의 컨셉을 가지고 진행해 온 시리즈 작업이다. 이 영상은 견고하고 균일한 색채를 구현하기 위하여 크로마키 기법을 이용하여 촬영하였으며 , 작가는 카메라 앞에서 세 가지의 대안적인 효과가 결합된 퍼포먼스를 진행하였다. 또한 로코코 미학(18세기 가구와 도자기), 재앙과 관련된 엇갈린 형식의 개념을 작품 속에 결합하였다.
