플랫폼 페스티벌은 2009년 파일럿 입주작가 부터 2010년 1기, 2011년 현재 입주해 있는 모든 작가들이 모이는 ‘홈커밍 데이’와 같은 아트 페스티벌이다. 2011 플랫폼 페스티벌에서는 49팀의 다양한 예술분야의 예술가들이 모여 전시과 공연, 프로젝트 등을 펼쳤다. 더불어 9월 24일과 25일에는 평소에 접하기 힘든 작가의 작업실을 둘러보고 작가와 이야기를 나누며 궁금증을 풀 수 있는 오픈스튜디오를 마련하였다. 예술가들에게 있어 스튜디오는 창작의 순간이 기록된 장소이자 작품의 모태가 되는 장소이기도 하다. 인천아트플랫폼은 개관 2주년을 맞이하여 그동안 입주하였거나 현재 입주해 있는 작가들과 함께 과거 창작의 순간을 기억하고 현재 창작의 지점을 되새겨보고자 하였다. 또한 해가 거듭될수록 늘어나는 인천아트플랫폼 레지던시 출신작가들 간의 교류를 통해 서로의 작업 활동을 격려하고 또 다른 창작의 기폭제가 되기를 바라고 있다. 앞으로 인천아트플랫폼은 플랫폼 페스티벌을 정례화하여 레지던시 입주작가들의 과거와 현재를 함께 돌아보고 창작활동에 대한 지속적인 담론을 만들어갈 계획이다.

The Platform Festival is an art festival, like home-coming day, at which all the artists including the 2009 pilot resident artists, the 2010 first-term ones and the 2011 present ones get together. At the 2011 Platform Festival, the artists of the 49 teams in various fields of art participated in exhibitions, performances and projects. Besides, on September 24 and 25, was set up Open Studio by which people visited artists studio, where a moment of creation was recorded and which was the matrix of work for artists, and talked with them. Incheon Art Platform, to celebrate its second anniversary, planned to remember the past moment of creation and to reflect on the present one with the artists stayed in its residency in the past or staying in it now. It hopes that they promote each others activity of work through the exchange among them, with their number increasing year after year. It plans to hold Platform Festival regularly to do reflect on the past and the present of its resident artists and to be a place for the discourse on activities of creation.
